Should I Resubmit an Entire NDIS Bulk Claim If Some Line Items Fail?

No. Only the failed line items should be resubmitted. The successful rows in the original bulk submission have already been processed and paid — including them again in a corrective upload risks creating duplicate claims.

What to do instead

  • Download the results file and identify only the rows marked as failed.
  • Correct those rows in a new CSV file, keeping the same Claim Reference number where possible.
  • Include only the corrected rows in the new upload — leave out everything that already succeeded.
  • Upload the smaller, corrected file through the bulk upload function.

Why does resubmitting the whole batch cause problems?

Rows that already succeeded and were paid don’t need — and shouldn’t receive — a second submission. Resubmitting them alongside the genuine corrections creates duplicate payment requests for claims that are already resolved, which then requires its own cleanup.
